Lightweight Airportable Coil Spring Series 88" is ready and it's designed to fit all elements from Discovery I (suspension w/axles, steering box, gear and transfer boxes). It comes with bare metal plates allowing to weld any engine mounts you need without interfering in chassis galv layer (we can weld to them standard LR engine mounts if you need), and bolted radiator mounts (drilling bolts for them required depends of radiator possition in your build).
We've designed our Lightweight Airportable Coil Spring Series 88" chassis to be the easiest to biuld, but bear in mind that connecting two different vehicles is always an individual project which requires build the vehicle, not only straight chassis replacement.

Material

Legs made from 3mm thick steel. Outriggers and cross members produced with 3mm to 8mm-thick material.
High-durability S355 J2+N carbon steel used.

Construction
|
All chassis elements are laser cut and shaped with CNC press brake.Legs are welded from four parts. Elements that require extra strength use thicker steel, not lamination!
Additional inspection holes
in the legs and all crossmembers so the chassis can be washed inside. Perfect for additional wax protection.
Mud-accumulating points kept to a minimum.
